Arjuna is an artist who has mastered and taught throat
singing, which he uses extensively on this enchanting CD. The styles
range from deep guttural drones and songs of imagery to pieces that
intertwine instrumentation in World Music Motifs.
Viola, udu and doumbek drums, flutes, sitars, cello, gongs, lap steel
guitar & didgeridoo all find their way into the journey. More a
musical vision than a display of pyrotechnic throat singing virtuosity.
"Spirit of the Bear" is a gentle yet inspiring companion to
revisit when needed, a musical compatriot with many hues and textures.
